چکیده
Destructive mining operations are affecting large areas of natural ecosystems, especially in arid lands. The present study aims at investigating the impact iron mine exploitation on vegetation and soil Nodoushan (Yazd province, central Iran). Based dominant wind, topography, slope, area, parameters close to were recorded analyzed according distance from mine. To obtain cover, a transect plot windward leeward side mine, with 100 m intervals three replicates each sampling location was used, yielding 96 samples. amount dust vegetation, seed weight germination rate Artemisia sp. as species within microbial respiration measured. relationship between cover not linear, which due an interplay pollution local grazing, while other factors did increase or decrease linearly. results showed that, increased, 1000 seeds significantly increased 271 494 mg 11.7 48.4% 4.5 5.9 CO2 g−1 day−1, respectively, decreased 43.5 6 (g plant)−1 600 direction. The objective of this research was to identify the vegetation-soil relationships in Nodushan arid rangelands of Yazd. 5 sites were selected for measuring the cover of plant species and soil attributes. Soil samples were taken in 0-10 and 10-80 cm layers. The species studied were Salsola tomentosa, Salsola arbuscula, Peganum harmala, Zygophylum eurypterum and Eurotia ceratoides. Canonical corres...
متن کاملInvestigation of Rangeland Changes Based on Landscape Metrics Analysis (Case Study: Kezab Rangelands, Yazd Province, Iran)
Adverse changes in rangeland vegetation can be considered as one of the criteria for land degradation. Some of these changes can be evaluated through monitoring the spatial changes of landscape parameters. This study aimed to investigate the landscape changes in Kezab rangelands of Yazd province, central Iran. Landsat satellite images of 1990, 2002, and 2013, and landscape metrics including Tot...

Abstract. Rangeland vegetation dynamics encompass all processes of changes in vegetation composition and structure over time. Investigating the rangeland ecosystem dynamics makes it possible to determine the effects of climatic and management conditions on qualitative and quantitative changes of the vegetation in a specific period of time. Accordingly, data collection and measurements for evalu...
